It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort can be debated.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it's been a challenging time because it seemed my form was missing completely," said Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive nature take over and you just lock into the competition."

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

Once she was dismissed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will win from any position has grown stronger - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated through the pain.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in 50-over cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
